Why this is a paid thing at all

Because a website is not furniture. Domains expire, certificates expire, libraries get security patches, and hosting tends to fall over on a Sunday evening. Maintenance is the difference between a problem we fix before you notice it and a problem you hear about from a client.

What is included

Backups — regular and, more importantly, tested. A backup that has never been restored is not a backup.
Updates — security patches and new versions, with a check that nothing broke.
Monitoring — an alert if the site goes down, before somebody calls you.
Small changes — a new price, new text, a new photo.
Domain and certificate — renewal dates tracked, no sudden expiry.

Ownership

The domain, hosting and code stay in your name. If one day you want someone else to take over, everything hands over cleanly — nothing is locked to us.
